2018 New Year’s Resolutions

Some people say that January is like the Monday of the year.

I’m trying to be more positive this year, so I’ll change that quote and say that it’s more like Sunday.

My Sundays usually entail sleeping in, organization for the rest of the week, followed by some cleaning, a shower and face mask, and then a good cuddle sesh and a movie with my family.

This year, I want everyday to feel like Sunday. I know they won’t all, but at least the majority of days!

For the new year, I set myself 10 resolutions, or inspirations to make life a bit better.

  1. Go to the gym 2-3 times a week
  2. Eat more fruits & vegetables
  3. Have a pampering day once a week
  4. Change my last name (I got married in 2017)
  5. Start a blog!!!
  6. Finish knitting my huge blanket
  7. Read at least 1 book per month
  8. Travel more
  9. Collect memories, not things
  10. Don’t sweat the small stuff

The first 3 resolutions are in an effort to lose weight and simply have more energy.

Resolutions 4-7 are things that I have wanted to do for quite some time but life seems to get in the way.

And the final 3 resolutions are more like guidelines, and to remind myself to enjoy life, as I deal with a lot of unpleasant anxiety problems.

I find resolutions to be difficult to stick with, which is why I”m starting early and keeping them loose!

There is no definitive number or end date, simply a slow, hopefully positive, improvement on my life.

Did you make any new years resolutions?

Have you managed to stick to them if you did?

Also, do you have any tips to help with sticking to your resolutions??
