Today marks the final entry in my “Vegas Hotel Review” series, at least until we visit again (hopefully soon!). I have saved the best for last, the hotel that I dream about at night, that holds my favourite memories, and always awes me whenever we go to see it. That hotel is, of course, The Cosmopolitan! (I imagine choirs playing and fireworks going off, but this is real life!)
The Cosmopolitan is one of the newest hotels on The Strip, and as such doesn’t smell like cigarette smoke like the majority of them. The aesthetic is very “Old Hollywood” with lots of bling and rich colours. We stayed here for 6 nights in June 2017 to celebrate our stag/stagette parties, wedding, and my 25th birthday (it was a busy week). My husband basically had to drag me out of the hotel on the last day, and if it wasn’t for our puppies, I would have gladly stayed forever. When we arrived, we decided to cough up the extra money and be upgraded to a Terrace Suite with a view of the Bellagio Fountains. This was incredibly worth the extra cost as the room was over 900 sqft plus a 160 sqft patio. We hosted our friends and family here quite a few times over the week and they all fell in love with the huge space and the drool-worthy view. Our suite came with a full kitchen, living room, bedroom with ensuite and a second bathroom for guests. It was larger than most 2 bedroom units available in Vancouver!
The hotel is just as mesmerizing as the rooms, with 2 pools, wide variety of food options and the most amazing lounge called The Chandelier. It’s an instagrammers dream, which is funny as Benefit Cosmetics often has theirs influencers stay here when they do trips to Vegas! Our favourite places to eat inside the Cosmopolitan is Wicked Spoon (hands down the best buffet in Vegas), Holstein’s (amazing, giant milkshakes), and Secret Pizza (fresh, unique pizzas).
The pools are beautiful, and are busy so come early if you want to get a lounge bed. When we visited Vegas in December 2017, they turned the Boulevard Pool into an ice rink, decked out with a giant Christmas tree, festive alcoholic beverages, as well as some yummy treats. The Cosmopolitan is a hotel that knows how to make you feel like a celebrity!
- Centrally located on The Strip (Between Bellagio & Aria)
- Friendly Staff
- Wide variety of food options
- 2 pools
- Beautiful, spacious, and modern rooms
- Stunning view
- Ambiance is high-class
- Younger crowd, can be rowdier
As you can see, the only downside to The Cosmopolitan is that the crowd may be younger, and enjoying themselves more than you are! Which means you need to have a few more drinks, and enjoy your surroundings, or try and join in on their fun.
I hope you all enjoyed this little series, and I hope to add more hotels to it this year.
