Happy Friday Darlings!
Sorry for going MIA on you all this month. I’ve had to take some time out for personal reasons but I’m back on the posting train!
Being a blogger, I also read A LOT of other blogs, so I figured you might be interested in the lovely people who inspire me!
If you love reading blogs, not just on beauty, I strongly suggest that you check out Bloglovin’. It’s quite a bit like Facebook or Instagram; you follow a bunch of amazing people, and then as they post, it will show up on your homepage, however unlike Facebook or Instagram, these posts are displayed in posting order (I miss the good old days!).
I attempted to keep the list brief, only showcasing the bloggers who I go out my way to read. I will also being doing another blog like this next Friday, except it will be with my favourite youtubers.
Sabrina – The Beauty Look Book
Sabrina is my go-to blogger for reviews of mid to high end beauty products. Her photos are second to none, her writing is eloquent, and she posts very regularly. If you are a lover of Tom Ford, Chanel, Sisley, Marc Jacobs, Dior, Diptyque, and Yves Saint Laurent, then you need to be following her! She covers makeup, skincare, fragrance, candles, and a little bit of home and lifestyle which is just so well rounded. Her reviews are primarily of newly released products, so she’s great reviewing for limited edition products before they sell out. I’ve also chatted with her a bit through Instagram and she’s always been incredibly helpful and kind. I rarely buy a product unless it’s approved by here. Check her out, you won’t regret it!
Christine – Temptalia
I go to Christine for makeup reviews from Colourpop to Tom Ford, and everything in between. She’s a class act and has been blogging for years. If you need to find dupes for almost any makeup product, then she is your source! She bangs out so many reviews a day, I seriously don’t know how she manages it. She normally gets products before release, so she is another amazing source for early information. She can be quite critical of products, but she clearly knows her stuff and if she is critical, it’s usually because the company had too many false claims about the product. If you want bang for your buck, she is the source to check out!
I genuinely fell in love with Ruth and her personality. She is a British blogger who was a model for years, and is now married with 2 adorable babies. On her blog A Model Recommends, she writes about makeup, skincare, home decor, and her Instagram stories are just so witty and funny. She also has a parenting blog called The Uphill where she records her experiences of being a mum. I don’t have a baby yet, but it’s nice to read a first hand experience that doesn’t scare the life out of me. Ruth makes you feel like its perfectly OK to just be human. For feel good, and knowledgeable reviews, I highly recommend this amazing woman.
Fleur – Fleur De Force
I’ve always had a love for the British accent, so it was no surprise that the first ever blogger that I fell in love with was Fleur. She’s young, sweet, and a brand new mum to an adorable little girl. She is predominantly a youtuber, but she does occasionally do blog posts. She puts out about 1-2 a month, primarily gift guides with the occasional beauty or lifestyle post thrown in. I love checking her page when I’m out of ideas for gifts for friends and family. I’ll do a more in-depth review next week, when I review my favourite youtubers.
Victoria – In The Frow
Victoria is quite possibly the most stylish and put together human being on the planet. She oozes seduction, while managing to be an adorable goofball. She primarily blogs about high end beauty products, fashion, and travel. Her blog is so aesthetically pleasing, and her boyfriend Alex just takes the most amazing photos. Victoria is another one of my favourite youtubers that I will discuss next week.
Jasmine – The Happy Sloths
I only recently came across Jasmine’s site, however, I really enjoy her writing, plus she is a Vancouver based blogger as well! It’s really cool to see a Canadian beauty blogger, as we seem to be quite rare compared to Britain and the USA. Jasmine sticks to beauty reviews, and her range is drugstore to high end (Maybelline to Christian Louboutin). She is honest about whether she likes a product or not, and is very friendly and engages with her readers.
I feel like it’s important to spread the love in the beauty world, as it can be a very negative space at times. I hope you check out some of these lovely, inspiring, and often funny ladies who make my days brighter and who I trust so much, even though I have never met them.
