February 2018 Favourites

Happy Friday Loves!

Below are my February Favourites, better late than never right?! This month seemed to just fly by but so many fun things happened so I can’t complain too much.

Power Fabric was a little present to myself for Christmas, and I really love how it looks on my skin, I just wish that it had a longer lasting power and had a better shade range. This foundation is lovely for those with normal to mildly oily skin, however if you find that you are excessively oily, please steer clear. The mattifying strength only works on my moderately oily t-zone for about 4 hours and then I get quite shiny. I’m still on the hunt for my holy grail long wear, mattifying foundation.

Becca Apres Ski Eyeshadow Palette (Limited Edition $38 CAD – No Longer Available)

So many people really hated this palette, so when I managed to snag it at Winners, I thought I may as well try it out… I’m so happy that I did! I love the soft wash of colour for everyday. I can understand why people didn’t like it, we are currently in a makeup world where pigmentation is king, however I occasionally like to have something softer and lighter and this just makes me happy to use.

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté Shine Oil-In-Stick in 47 Beige Blouse ($43 CAD)

I picked this lipstick up on a whim before our weekend away in Burlington, and never did I think that it would become such a staple. It’s the perfect creamy nudey-pink that looks amazing on its own, but also applies well over darker colours for an ombré effect. This lipstick lives in my purse because I often forget to pack one with me, and it just goes with everything look.

Tom Ford Sheer Cheek Duo in Lavender Lure ($100 CAD)

I love Tom Ford, but I don’t love Tom Ford prices, however this blush duo is beautiful! The top shade is a buildable pale pink highlight, while the bottom shade a beautiful warm pink with a slight shimmer. The duo is actually quite pigmented, unlike what you would expect as it’s called the “sheer cheek duo”. It packs a punch but blends easily. I tend to swirl both of the colours together as the highlight shade would look better on someone with a medium skintone, instead of my lighter skintone.

Dior Addict Lip Glow in Raspberry ($41 CAD)

This little lippie is making an appearance 2 months in a row! I love it for a “no makeup” makeup look, because it gives my lips such a bright pop of colour and helps with the winter dryness.

Did you have any products this month that you found yourself reaching for?
