Hi Everyone!

I’m sorry there was no Sunday Post yesterday, the weekend was a bit busy and I didn’t manage to squeeze in time for blog posts.

We bought tickets last week to the Just For Laughs Northwest Tour and headed down to ComedyMix for the second week in a row. We saw Debra DiGiovanni, who is a Canadian comedy legend. I remembering watching her on MTV growing up and it was great to see her live. We are really on a comedy show kick this year. It’s well worth it to just get out and have a good laugh with friends, or as a couple. We work together so it’s nice to be properly taken out of our house or work and just have a great time, especially as tickets to comedy shows are quite inexpensive!

Saturday seemed to slip by very quickly. We have been talking about eventually getting a second car, so we popped into Burnaby Repo to see if they had anything of interest. It’s a great place to keep an eye out as they get a wide variety of makes and models with some really decent prices. After that, I dropped off my husband at work for a bit while I did some errands. I’ve been on the hunt for a long black cardigan, so I went to Winners and ended up leaving with a Karl Lagerfeld Miranda Saffiano Leather Tote in a beautiful green. It’s a lovely pop of colour for the Spring, while still being dark enough to wear in the colder months. I’ve had my eye on this style for about a year, but didn’t want to spend $400+ CAD so when I saw this one for $100 CAD I knew she had to come home with me! It was a bit of naughty purchase as I’ve picked up 2 purses already this year, but there was no chance I was going to miss out on one of my favourite purses and for such a great price. My brother-in-law made steaks for dinner which were amazing, and after that the hubby and I went out for dessert to Glenburn Soda Fountain & Confectionery. I really wanted to come and check this place out for a few months, and I feel like I psyched myself up for it to be amazing. It is a cute little ice cream shoppe, however I prefer soft serve frozen goodies. It was nice to check it out, but I think we will be sticking with our late night Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt instead.

Sunday started off quietly, with me playing around with doing my makeup and getting ready for our day out. I picked us up tickets to the Whitecaps Football Club home opener game against Montreal so we ended up heading downtown twice this week! We got to the stadium early, because the home opener package included a Whitecaps FC scarf that we needed to pick up before the game. We had a bit of time to kill so we checked out Aquariums West on Beatty Street. My husband loves fish tanks so he was like a kid in a candy store checking out all the unique fish they had and the cool tanks. We have a large one at home, but I think it will be time for an upgrade soon. Once we got to the stadium, we were happy to see that we had some pretty decent seats! You can’t pick your seats with home opener tickets so it was a bit of a gamble. The game really fun to watch, with Whitecaps winning 2-1 so a great start to the season. We try and go to at least 1 game per season, but I would love to go more. The energy and atmosphere is so addicting. I played soccer in high school so I have a soft spot for the sport. We got home late in the evening and I quickly made butter chicken for dinner. The rest of the evening was spent chatting with my husband, his sister, and her husband about all of the tattoos that we would love to get. My last tattoo was in September so I am definitely having the itch for another one soon, hopefully in April!

What did you get up to this weekend?
